# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It actually tastes fresh and zingy, not like you're drinking lawn clippings in a glass.
  • Five minutes from fridge to glass means you can squeeze this in on mornings when time is already slipping away.
  • The chia seeds add a subtle nuttiness and keep you satisfied for hours without weighing you down.
02 -
  • Don't skip the frozen banana—fresh banana won't give you that silky, satisfying creaminess that makes this smoothie feel indulgent rather than like a chore.
  • Chia seeds need a few minutes to fully hydrate, so if you're not drinking immediately, they'll create a thicker, almost pudding-like texture by the time you get to it.
03 -
  • Start blending on low for the first few seconds to break down the greens without creating an aerating vortex that introduces unnecessary air.
  • If your smoothie tastes too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time rather than pouring in a big splash—you can always thin it out, but you can't take liquid back out.
